Our Round Drum (unlike standard steel drums) can be supplied in 1 meter high (245 litre) configuration, improving the freight efficiency by up to 20%.
The weight of the 1 meter high (245 litre) round drum is 6kg against 20kg for a standard steel drum, providing a further cost saving opportunity.
Our Square Drum, 1 metre high (280 litre) can provide further savings with products of low specific gravity, like butter fats or powders.
Savings can also be achieved in warehousing and handling costs by using these lighter, higher capacity drums.
Our 200 litre 'Reefer Container' compatible fibre drums take up the advantage of wasted head space, allowing 80 drums to be packed in a 'Reefer Container', again improving container capacity and reducing shipping costs of products.
